The central location of the Thelbridge Cross Inn opens up an enormous range of activities for those who like to explore, however having a car is necessary due to our rural location.

There are lots of things to see and do in the nearby towns of Tiverton (11 miles), Crediton (9 miles), and South Molton (11 miles). You could visit the local farmers' markets, or organise a wide range of outdoor activites such as walking, cycling, horse-riding, golf, and fishing.

The City of Exeter (16 miles) is famous for its magnificent Cathedral and surrounding square which contains many original and restored medieval buildings. Exeter also offers excellent shopping, and the famous Exeter Quay is a popular destination.

The Inn is within an hour’s drive of most of Devon, offering access to the beautiful North Devon beaches of Woolacombe Bay, Saunton Sands and Croyde Bay, and resorts such as Ilfracombe, Minehead and Porlock. The rugged hills of Exmoor National Park and "Lorna Doone Country" are within easy reach and, to the south, Dartmoor National Park and the seaside resorts of Exmouth, Sidmouth and Dawlish.
