The restaurant's superb food is one of the main reasons for the inn's popularity. Customers travel from miles around to enjoy lunch or dinner at the Thelbridge. The daily changing menu offers a wide and varied choice of dishes, home cooked using fresh ingredients by chef patronne Ria Ball and her team. A number of the ingredients used are home-grown in the inn's own vegetable garden.
Diners can choose to eat in the warm and comfortable Dining Room which seats 40, or more informally in the bar dining area which has seating for up to 30. Whichever you choose, you can be assured that every meal is a special treat, and for hotel guests the English fried breakfast is particularly renowned.
Since 1986 when Bill & Ria Ball took over the Thelbridge Cross Inn, the food has obtained innumerable accolades including from Egon Ronay, Michelin, Les Routiers, Which?, the Good Pub Guide, and Pub Food Magazine.
